Apply: Fundraising Manager

Badass Animal Rescue is an all breed dog rescue that has saved over 3,600 dogs since 2011. We are looking for a Fundraising Manager, who will report to the Executive Director, to join our team.

    • Will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the fundraising strategy alongside the ED each year and ensuring we hit our goals

    • Developing the fundraising strategy alongside the Executive Director (ED)

    • Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work

    • Cultivate a network of dedicated donors

    • Spot new fundraising opportunities

    • Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals

    • Ensure major donors are satisfied and updates on the status and outcomes of their donations

    • Work with a team of 5-7 fundraising volunteers (Individual Giving, Online giving, Grants, Donor admin).

    • Maintain all databases and ensure timely reports are pulled

    • Weekly meetings with the Executive Director, and heads of other departments, and weekly or bi-monthly meetings with volunteers.

    • Attend events throughout the year on behalf of Badass for fundraising purposes

    • Other items to be determined on an ongoing basis

    • Experience with revenue generation, pitching, and/or fundraising

    • Experience with database management (ie. Network For Good)

    • Team player

    • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills

    • Ability and willingness to learn and take direction as well as feedback

    • Strong Attention to detail

    • Experience with fundraising in a non-profit environment

    • Experience writing grant proposals and fundraising letters

    • Confidence with public speaking

    • Competence in Google Suite

    • Job Status: Part-time, 24 hours per week, Contract, 60 day probationary period. 9-12 month commitment

    • Job Location: Work can be done remotely, with expectation to attend in-person/virtual meetings and events in NYC

    • Job Pay: $20.00 per hour

    • Job Start Date: January 15, 2025
